Let total apple = x
At 1st day: Remaining apple = 40% of x = .4x and throwing apple = .4x *15% = .06x
At 2nd day: Remaining apple = .4x - .06x = .34x and throwing apple = .34x *50% = .17x
So total throwing apple = .06x + .17x = .23 x, that menas 23% of total
